…… I’m Peter Cairney, and I’m thrilled you’ve found your way to my blog. Mental Wellbeing & Health for men is a topic that’s super close to my heart, and I’m passionate about spreading the word.

So, a bit about me: I’ve walked the walk when it comes to mental health challenges. My own experiences have shaped who I am and ignited a fire in me to help others. I’ve also got the credentials to back it up – I’m a qualified life coach and Mental Health trainer, ready to share insights and tips.

Before diving into this world full-time, I spent almost 20 years working with troubled teenagers in residential settings. It was a rollercoaster of an experience, filled with highs and lows, and it taught me so much about resilience and compassion. Unfortunately, my journey there ended abruptly after I was assaulted, leaving me with a life-changing foot drop injury. That wasn’t the only curveball life threw my way; I also had a mini-stroke (TIA). But hey, I’m still standing!

When I’m not writing or coaching, you’ll probably find me soaking up the great outdoors – it’s my happy place. Plus, I love giving back and volunteer for several charities, which keeps me grounded and connected to the community.

This blog is a space where I hope to share not just my experiences, but practical advice, inspiring stories, and resources that can make a difference. Whether you’re on your own mental health journey or supporting someone else, I’m always here to help.
